Sorry, it's been awhile since I've ranted and complained about things, but I've been busy ranting on the nuvo boards...a traitor to my own board...I won't let it happen again.
This month's rant is about how sick and tired I am of the whole Windows console and what I am going to do about it.
I am so tired of my antivirus program updating...the damn Windows XP update that clogs up my laptop and robs me of space...worrying about whether or not I'm infected...that fucking 502 page that comes up when I know FOR A FACT that the website exists. It's not acting stupid like MySpace...it's just the damn computer. I was told that this happens when spyware or popups get blocked...they scramble the signal...and your page doesn't come up, or comes up slow as hell.
I bought more RAM, so now I have 768MB...you'd think this would be faster, but noooo...now the programs use up my CPU, which is a 2GB Pentium 4.
Then there's the problems with hardware incompatibility, and the upcoming Windows Vista that will surely make prog problems another reason to hate Bill Gates and his empire of shit. If you would only put out programs when they are completely DONE and TESTED and EXPLOIT-FREE...instead of being a greedy fuck who wants ALL your money and gives you programs that are riddled with problems because they were in a hurry.
So, it is with great fanfare that I say, "Fuck you, and Goodbye, Bill Gates."
I'm in the process of buying a REAL computer: A Mac. I have been researching and hemming and hawing for almost a year now....it's scary to make a complete shift in the way I've been doing things...but I am convinced that the changes will be for the better and I will be so much happier.
