allright just got home from it, so here goes! engine room, houston, may 18th 5:00pm: picked up my friend cody home, left college station and headed for houston 7:00pm: got there, waited in line for a while 8:00pm: got in just as behemoth were setting up and started playing... kickass show, i knew some of the songs, they put up a great performance! played some stuff from demi-god (starting their set with "sculpting the throne ov seth - demigod" and on the last song the singer changed into his demi-god costume thing with the mask and stuff, it was pretty great actually! 8:45pm: black dahlia murder set up and start playing after a while, nice band, good show, but i only knew one song (funeral thirst) with which they closed their set. they played a good melodic deathmetal thing and did some songs from their upcoming album. 9:30pm: nile sets up and were ready, pretty great show too, ending with "black seeds of vengance" which got all the fans singing along, pretty brutal stuff too! 10:30pm: ok, the black sheet covering matt's drumset was finally taken off, uncovering it along with a shelf, a fireplace, and a coffing reading ABIGAIL... people were ready and chanting "diamond diamond diamond..." while the techs were setting up the gates on the stage and checking everything. 11:00pm: everything was ready, but it was not until 11:15 or so that i could finally hear the begining of "funeral" when king came out, and saying the words started doing what they said to the plastic baby found on the coffin... people were already -> ;D all yelling "we are gathered here tonight..." i was finally gonna see the king live ... then all the members came out and started playing the set so here it is: 1 - funeral 2 - arrival ;D 3 - a mansion in darkness 4 - the family ghost 5 - black horsemen ;D ;D ;D 6 - spare this life 7 - mansion in sorrow 8 - sorry dear
*gates taken off the stage*
9 - come to the sabbath!!!! ;D 10- sleepless nights ;D ;D 11- the eye of the witch
*no puppet master songs since livia had some health problem that was being taken care of, king explained it to the crowd*
12- welcome home ("last" song for the night)
*i picked up hal patino's pick dammit!!!! ;D people were going "diamond, diamond, diamond, diamond" and i was being pushed a lot! lol*
13- halloween!!!
*yet some more "diamond diamond..." followed by an introduction of the members and stuff*
14- evil!!! ;D12:30am: the show was over i got to meet karl sanders and took a picture with him and signed my ticket and stuff, then i got to college station at around 2:30 and got home like at 2:45, tired but it was worth it!!
